Ugandans in South Korea Association
President of USKA, supporting community welfare, governance, and Uganda-Korea connections
Community Leadership
I serve as president of the Ugandans in South Korea Association (USKA), bringing together Ugandans living in Korea around community support, cultural exchange, and stronger Uganda-Korea ties.
I previously served as vice president and took over as president in 2026. My focus is on building an association that can serve its members and pass responsibly from one generation of leaders to the next.
What I Work On
- Governance: shared leadership values, practical adoption guides, accountability, and a clear transfer of responsibility between leaders.
- Community support: helping members navigate challenges in Korea and making the association’s support easier to understand and access.
- Communication and partnerships: connecting members with the Ugandan Embassy and other partners, and preparing association materials for those conversations.
- Bringing people together: regional gatherings, student and professional networks, cultural activities, and sports.
From Community Need to Product
This work led me to build JonjaBird, an end-to-end agentic AI mailroom helping foreign inmates in Korea stay in touch with their families abroad through digital delivery and physical letters.
